Two big-name trainers having been weighing up their options in the run-up to the Galway Plate.
Willie Mullins has confirmed that Irish Invader is on course for the William Hill Galway Plate in a fortnight, despite his defeat by Davenport Democrat at Killarney last night (Monday).
Mullins is happy with the horse's run over a distance much shorter than he will encounter at Ballybrit and confirmed that this was, for Irish Invader, something of a trial run before the big one on July 30th.

Meanwhile, another trainer has been considering his options in the build up to the Galways Plate.
Paul Nolan says he may give French Accordion another run before he decides if he will take his chance at Ballybrit in the big chase, or the Handicap Hurdle the following day.

French Accordion is currently [20.0] to win the Galway Plate with Irish Invader at [16.0]. Oslot is the current favourite at [8.6].
