I said on Thursday that I was ready for a good day and bingo, two very good winners at decent prices. The Snail proved anything but for the second time in 24 hours and AP McCoy maintained his 100 percent record aboard Good Harvest, which exactly what we reaped from the layers.

Friday is another mixed day of racing with something for everyone. Jumps action, Flat turf and all-weather racing under the floodlights at Wolverhampton is on offer. We will stick with McCoy and Jonjo O'Neill who will hopefully make a long journey north worthwhile.

McCoy is looking to complete the hat-trick aboard Native City (16:50) at Carlisle which can be landed despite a six pound hike in the weights. Neil Callan is one of my favourite jockeys. He is always very positive, seems to always be in the right spot during a race and gives his all, no matter what level of race. Callan takes the ride aboard Worth A Kings (18:20) for Sir Michael Stoute. Another hat-trick seeker, Worth A Kings has an extra five pounds to contend with but this is a moderate race which should go to the in form horse.
