"The ground at The Curragh will be testing and it may be the filly who handles it the best who prevails, but I think that will be the smart Lillie Langtry."
Carl Harris has a tasty looking pair for Sunday!
With a busy day on Monday I do not plan to get too heavily involved on the sabbath, but I really like the card at the Curragh where the Moyglare Stud Stakes, a group one, takes centre stage.
The 2009 running of the Moyglare looks competitive and interesting. Long lashes looks a promising filly for the in-form Godolphin operation but Lillie Langtry (3.45) has shown considerable ability and consistency and steps up from a Group Two win to the highest level. She hails from the Aidan O'Brien stable, who has a good record in this race, The ground will be testing and it may be the filly who handles it the best who prevails, but I think that will be the smart Lillie Langtry.
Chinese White (3.15) is better than a Group Three filly and should win here giving weight away to some smart three-year-old fillies. She showed she was at her best when winning very nicely at Gowran Park last time out, travelling well throughout. I cannot see anything troubling Dermot Weld's filly and I make Chinese White my bet of the day.
Carl Harris' Best bets for Sunday August 30
3.15 Curragh - Chinese White, Win (bet of the day)
3.45 Curragh - Lillie Langtry, Win
