Lady Luck smiled on Carl Harris yesterday but, on a strong Friday card, he's looking for more...

Friday is a really good day of racing ahead of us with jumping back at Cheltenham and an excellent couple of days at Newmarket. Thoughts are already turning to the Cheltenham Festival in March and today I think we will see a festival contender, making his chasing debut.

Snap Tie (14:55) has a rating of 158, over hurdles which is good enough to run at the highest level. Indeed, Philip Hobbs' seven-year-old ran well in the Champion Hurdle. A clear round of jumping, over fences, should see him open his chasing account at the expense of a small but select field. Snap Tie is an interesting recruit to chasing, lets hope that he proves to be an exciting prospect for the coming season. His trainer will ensure he is well schooled and with Richard Johnson in the saddle I confidently recommend Snap Tie as a good bet, although at the price he is one for the multiple.

On the flat, I got away with laying Rio De La Plata (15:10) last time out when second to Confront in a Newmarket group three. This is a drop in class and a step up in trip a winning combination and I am very happy to be a backer today. With Godolphin in such great form and Dettori riding really well there are no worries. Rio De La Plata is a very good horse who I think will land this impressively for the boys in blue.

I fancy a Dettori double with Emirates Dream (14:35), who looks the class act in the race after a good group three place last time at Longchamp. It would be a big surprise were the good form of the boys in blue not continued here, but then again with my recent form perhaps not so much. I really like Emirates Dream and make it my best bet of the day.

I recommend a Betfair Multiple, combining doubles and trebles with todays selections.
