Rain decimated UK racing yesterday so Carl is putting all his eggs in the Yarmouth basket.

The rain managed to spoil Tuesday's racing with only the hardy jumpers completing the card. Let's hope for a full day's play today.

There is plenty of action with racing this afternoon and evening. Yarmouth is the venue for our bets on Wednesday where we are seeking a first and last race double.

Debbie Mountain has not had a winner since Global Village (5.50) completed a double at Kempton on the July 15. This is a horse in form and can complete the hat-trick in a weak looking apprentice handicap. A five pounds rise in the weights should not be a problem in a race with a distinct shortage of form and I think Global Village has an excellent chance of winning.

Royal Diamond (8.20), will not be much of a price but is definitely the best bet of the day. Royal Diamond looks a much improved horse since stepping up in trip (what a surprise!) and against six rivals that have forgotten how to trouble the judge Seb Sanders should go home happy after winning the last race of the night.
