Godolphin three-year-old Poet's Voice landed the second Group 2 success of his career on Saturday, with an emphatic defeat of odds-on favourite Main Aim in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood. The son of Dubawi faced only three rivals, but showed a good turn of foot to leave Main Aim trailing, crossing the line four-and-a-half lengths clear. Poet's Voice showed a lot of potential as a juvenile, and with his tendency to race very freely now seemingly a thing of the past, he is beginning to show what he's capable of. Poet's Voice is set to have his mettle tested in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot, where he may face multiple Group 1-winners Canford Cliffs and Rip Van Winkle.

Also at Goodwood on Saturday, Brian Meehan's exciting juvenile Theyskens' Theory comfortably landed the Group 3 Prestige Stakes. The highly regarded-filly made a big impression when winning a Newmarket maiden on her second start, and she confirmed herself a potential Group 1 performer on Saturday, leading from the outset and winning with plenty in hand. Theyskens Theory, now towards the head of the ante-post 1000 Guineas market [12.5], will reportedly step up to Group 1 level in next month's Fillies' Mile at Ascot.

Another Fillies' mile candidate is Ballydoyle's Misty For Me, who won the Group 1 Moyglare Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday. The progressive two-year-old won well from Laughing Lashes, to whom she had finished runner-up in the Group 2 Debutante Stakes earlier in the month. The strongly-fancied Memory, who had won Group races at Ascot and Newmarket prior to Sunday, ran well below expectations in sixth.
