"Wombourne Olivia should get first run on her field and if that were to be the case, then it would take a strong finish from one of the others to beat her in her current frame of mind. She has won two of her last three, and although without question she will be gasping for air in the latter stages, she simply has to be the bet here at anything over [3.5]."
Monmore is the centre of Ed Nicholson's thoughts today, as he takes a look at their BAGS meeting for more winners....
Monmore is a track I like. Its sweepng bends and well graded contests enable dogs to perform to the best of their ability.
The opening race on their 14 racecard this afternoon sees Wombourne Olivia in trap four, and the June 2006 whelp has outstanding claims on recent runs. She is upgraded from a romp in A6 class, but she has still won 33% of these A5 races and she has won more times than any of her five rivals here, having completed a 10-44 total record.

The fourth race on the card sees Pretty Boy Wickes from trap four in with a great chance of winning his first race for 11 runs. He was a classy act some time ago, but he has been in the wilderness of late - but a 3-5 success rate in this A4 class shows these sort of dogs that contest this grade are usually below him. He is likley to be available at big odds and although he hasnt shown his form for sometime the drop down to this grade wil eventually bring a victory from him - let's hope it's today! Back him at anything bigger than [4.0].
