Northern Irishman takes second title of the year to force his way into Ryder reckoning.
Darren Clarke touched an in-running high of [48.0] to win the KLM Open and fire himself into Ryder Cup contention.
Despite the victory, the Northern Irishman is not guaranteed a place in Nick Faldo's team for the biennial clash with the US.
Runner-up Henrik Stenson is in the team but he couldn't stay with Clarke, despite taking the early lead during the fourth round - at which point he was matched at a low of [1.68].
The Ryder Cup takes place at the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisiana, starting on September 19th. Europe, victorious in last three tournaments , are the [1.93] favourites to lift the trophy.
