Faye Brookes is the early favourite to win this year's edition of Dancing on Ice after the ITV show got underway on Sunday.

The Coronation Street actor is 3.7511/4 to win in a field of 12 celebrities that contains famous names from the fields of TV, sport, music and more. They include Olympic hurdler Colin Jackson 8.07/1, pop star and actor Jason Donovan 30.029/1 and singer Myleene Klass 11.010/1.

So far the betting on the Exchange indicates Brookes will face the toughest competition from another soap star - Emmerdale's Joe-Warren Plant 5.79/2.

The next specials betting hit?

The show pairs 12 celebrities with professional ice skaters who then train together to perform a dance routine on the ice for a judging panel. It first aired in 2006 and could proved to be ideal lockdown viewing if recent hits are anything to go by.

The recent edition of I'm A Celebrity... was a phenomenal success with viewers and took bettors right to the wire, with an upset in the final.

Strictly is always a blast and the special socially-distanced 2020 version provided just as many talking points as previous series.

Dancing On Ice, which like both those shows will take place in special conditions with celebrities and their dance partners forming mini-bubbles, could well be the next event to provide entertainment and value.

On the Exchange the betting is not confined to wagering on the outright winner. You can also bet on the top male or top female as well as the elimination markets as the judges start to whittle down the field and only the nimblest survive.

Comedian Rufus Hound 25.024/1 and musician Lady Leshurr 36.035/1 are among the other contestants, as are TV personality Rebekah Vardy 25.024/1, Olympic skier Graham Bell 9.28/1 and radio host Sonny Jay 13.525/2.

The judge include legendary Olympic skaters Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, as well as John Barrowman and Ashley Banjo. It should be fascinating to see who will they be awarding the points to once the competition really gets going in this 13th series.
