Day 7 gets underway at 13:00 Las Vegas time (21:00 UK time) and will continue until the 27 players have been reduced to the final table of nine; the November Nine.

Day 6 of the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event has been completed after the 97 players who started the day were whittled down to just 27. Amongst those 27 survivors is the Betfair logo sporting Elisabeth Hille who is on course to take home a life-changing sum of money.

Hille was already nicely chipped up when she sent Tomas Samol to the rail in 32nd place to increase her stack to 5,805,000. According to the report on PokerNews, Samol opened to 200,000 only to see our heroine three-bet to 475,000. The action folded back around to Samol who moved all-in for 2,445,000 and Hille quickly called. Somal turned over As-Qs and Hille showed Qd-Qc. Samol received no help from the 4d-2d-3d-Kd-5c board - in fact Hille made a flush on the turn - and Samol exited in 32nd.

Then right near the close of play Hille helped herself to a substantial pot to push her stack near the 10,000,000 chip barrier. The action folded to Andras Koroknai in the cutoff and he set the price to play at 250,000, a bet that only Hille called (from the small blind). The pair shared a flop reading 7s-10s-2h, Hille checked, Koroknai bet 310,000 and Hille check-raised to 785,000. Koroknai was going nowhere though and he made the call. The turn was a third spade, the As, and Hille fired out a bet of 825,000 but again Koroknai called. The Kh was the river card and now Hille got real serious and pushed out a 2,000,000 bet and that was enough because Koroknai snap-folded.

Just minutes later Erik Hellman's ace-jack lost out to Salaburu's dominating ace-queen to bust out in 28th place and to bring Day 6 to a conclusion and leave Hille with the task of trying to fit 9,770,000 chips into her chip-bag; though it is a welcomed problem we are sure.

Hille is now guaranteed no less than $294,601 for her efforts in this tournament, of which 10% has her boyfriend's name on it. Over the weekend we said she would be splitting any prize 50/50 but it was brought to our attention that Harald Olsen chose not to play in the Main Event so the couple just swap 10% when they do not take part in the same events together. Still, Olsen will pick up no less than $29,600 and with a touch of luck he will be increasing that amount to $75,479 by the time Day 7 is completed.

Day 7 gets underway at 13:00 Las Vegas time (21:00 UK time) and will continue until the 27 players have been reduced to the final table of nine; the November Nine. The Main Event will then be paused until the end of October when the nine players will fly back to Las Vegas and play out the final table of this fantastic tournament. Everyone at Betfair Poker hopes Hille will be there.

Before we go we have to give a special mention to Lasell King who busted out in 40th place for a cool $191,646. King qualified for his seat on Betfair Poker but chose to remain relatively anonymous throughout the Main Event but we simply had to applaud his efforts in "The Big Dance."

Tune into these very pages tomorrow to discover Hille's fate in the Main Event. Could she become only the second woman to reach the Main Event's final table? We are sure that she can do just that! Good luck Elisabeth!
