The European Poker Tour is the premier live poker tour. It has not only stood the test of time, but it has continued to grow in size and stature year on year.
The 105th European Poker Tour (WPT) Main Event is currently being played in Vienna, Austria and there are still some Brits in the hunt for its title. Since its creation, British players have won an impressive 15 Main Events with six of those victories coming in Seasons 6 and 7.
Here are the 115 British EPT Main Event champions, in order of the tournament they won.
1.) John Shipley - Season 1 EPT London - £200,000

Ram "Crazy Horse" Vaswani headed to Ireland in Season 1 and bulldozed his way past the 162 other entrants to scoop the €93,000 first place prize.

Vaswani won EPT Dublin in Season 2 and fellow Brit Roland de Wolfe took down the same tournament in Season 3. It was one of the first €5,000 buy-in events and when 389 players ponied up that princely sum, de Wolfe secured a massive €554,300 payout.

David Vamplew was a complete unknown before he topped a 848 strong field at EPT London, defeating John Juanda heads-up to secure the title. Vamplew is now known around the world and it is surely only a matter of time before he adds another major live title to his name.
