Manby to make a mark on debut
Cameron Menzies against Charlie Manby is one of the ties of the opening round, in my opinion. I've been excited about it since the draw was made and think we're guaranteed an enthralling contest.
Many have asked whether Manby, on debut, will settle and adapt to playing on the iconic stage and I don't anticipate that being an issue for the 20-year-old.
The youngster could genuinely be one of the biggest revelations in PDC darts in coming years, he's explosive, has all the shots and I am expecting a big stage presence to develop.
Albeit a floor tournament away from the bright lights and pressure, on his Players Championship debut in September, Manby faced the experienced and heavy hitting Dirk van Duijvenbode who he pushed all the way and narrowly lost out to, with the Dutchman having to put on a scoring masterclass to advance.
The following day, Manby beat Andrew Gilding and Mickey Mansell to reach the Last 32.
He captured the attention of many, making headlines when he posted the highest average ever recorded in PDC darts, a whopping 130.7 on the Development Tour back in February and I think we could be treated to something special on Monday afternoon.
He's 6/42.50 just to record his first ever win on the Ally Pally stage but if you fancy something a little bigger, I think there is also value in backing the youngster to win the match and take out the highest finish at 10/34.33.

Ferret to find the form that saw him start the season strong
Jonny Clayton looked like a resurgent ferret in the opening few months of the year, consistently finding himself in the latter stages of TV tournaments with a run to the final of the World Masters and semi-final of the UK Open, Matchplay and Grand Prix but a string of early exits in recent majors have caused a little bit of doubt around the Welshman's chances at Ally Pally.

The Welsh number one's main aim for 2025 was to do enough to force his way back into the Premier League for next season and having been in a wonderful position to do just that, he now knows a big run in London is needed after a few slip-ups at the European Championship, Grand Slam and Players Championship Finals.
In the quarter of opportunity, if he is able to recapture that stunning form, he should fancy his chances of reaching the semi-finals at 4/15.00.
In Adam Lipscombe, he's up against a player I saw a lot of at the Modus Super Series prior to him earning his tour card and he showed there on a number of occasions that he has a very high ceiling.
Just last month the debutant beat Cameron Menzies at the Players Championship Finals and has also gotten the better of the likes of Gerwyn Price, Damon Heta and Dirk van Duijvenbode on the floor, so could be a tricky customer.
The bet that I like the look of in this one is Jonny Clayton to have 1+ Bull Finishes at 2/13.00. Given how often he leaves his favoured 121 and ends up taking it out on the bull, I think we'll see plenty of attempts and at least one will end up with a lovely ferret finger point.
