Luke Woodhouse looking to build on career best run at Ally Pally

Krcmar not in the form to challenge

Woodhouse's winning ways to continue
This year Luke Woodhouse has been keen to show that there are more than two Lukes who deserve to be talked about in the world of darts.
A finalist at the Swiss Darts Trophy back in September, he's certainly edging closer and closer to that first ever senior PDC title and it feels like it is now just a matter of time before he enjoys that breakthrough moment.
The Shed is keen to shake the tag of being the highest ranked player yet to enjoy tournament success and despite losing his previous two matches against Boris Krcmar, those two fixtures came back in 2022 and Woodhouse is certainly a different proposition now.
Not only does he have more belief in himself and his game and feel he belongs up on a big stage but a few tweaks have also had an incredibly positive impact.
Last year, Woody reached the Last 16 for the first time in his career and backed that up in 2025 with runs to a first ever final on the Euro Tour and a second in a Players Championship event.
As for Krcmar, he didn't pull up any trees in the World Championship qualifiers last month and has a running average of 90 across the games he's played this year. Despite some below par performances from Woodhouse at times during this campaign and perhaps feeling like his Grand Slam Last 16 match against Ricky Evans is one that slipped away, I feel he's the player most likely to up his game this weekend and take control of the contest.
I'm backing Woodhouse with a handicap of -1.5 in this one at 5/61.84.

Ando to power through
Gary Anderson is one of just three players in history to go back-to-back at the PDC World Championship and the last player to achieve that feat, with the second of those titles coming 10 years ago now but you still can't write The Flying Scotsman off in any tournament, even if his stamina and staying power in longer format matches aren't as reliable as they were a few years ago.

It's been another campaign where he's treated us to spellbinding displays with his silky smooth throwing action, reminding us time and time again how thrilling he is to watch and how devastating he can still be on a dartboard.
He's picked up a title on the floor and Euro Tour in 2025 and with a running average this year almost nine points higher than his opponent, he should have enough to overpower Adam Hunt, even though it's The Hunter who's come out on top in their last two meetings.
I'm backing the Scot to be king of the oche, win the match, take out the highest finish and hit the most 180s at 11/102.11.
Back Gary Anderson to win, hit the most 180s and highest checkout
