In a tournament that has thrown up multiple shocks and surprises and already seen one of the tournament favourites Gerwyn Price eliminated, Luke Littler continues to charge through the field, now 4/61.67 to retain his title.
World Darts Tip 1: Wattimena to win
Jermaine Wattimena has enjoyed a tremendous year so far. After a number of near misses, the Dutchman finally picked up his maiden two ranking title in senior darts in 2025, deserved after consistently producing a high level.
Making a number of minor changes to his game and attributing a lot of his success to slowing down his throw ever so slightly, he has reaped the rewards and recaptured his best form.
Four times Wattimena has advanced to the Last 32 of the World Championship but has never made it any further.
There should be an incredible pace to this one though against the exuberant and charismatic Scott Williams who comes alive up on the Ally Pally stage.
Shaggy, one of the biggest showmen in the game seems to be a different beast at this time of year. Often producing his best stuff in November and December, he'll be hoping to string together another run this year, with his semi-final prize money from two years ago set to come off his rankings.
Their four previous meetings have all come on the floor and it's the 2024 European Championship runner-up who has come out on top in three of them.
I'm backing Jermaine Wattimena to Win the Match and Throw 5+ 180s at 15/82.88.
Back Jermaine Wattimena to win & hit 5+ 180s
World Darts Tip 2: Hood to play well
Danny Noppert is one of my picks to have a deep run at this yer's World Championship despite never previously making it further than the Last 32.
His improved scoring power saw him pose problems for Luke Littler when the two faced off in the semi-final of the Grand Slam last month and he now has to be in the conversation for a spot in next year's Premier League.
Taking on an incredibly dangerous opponent in Justin Hood who averaged just shy of a ton in his opening fixture, the Dutchman will certainly be in for a stern examination in this one.

While I think the former UK Open champion will ultimately prevail, I think the line for the Englishman's average is low and am backing him to post an average in excess of 92.5 at 5/61.84.
Back Justin Hood to average +92.5
