Jonny Clayton and Luke Littler, who have met in the last two Premier League nightly finals, have already done enough to ensure that they'll be heading to The O2 in May, both in search of their second title.
The Ferret, competing in this tournament for the first time since 2023 was the first to claim four nightly wins, before Littler joined him on that tally in Liverpool last week.
The numbers they've produced stress their overall consistency up to this point but with their work already done, it's hard to predict whether they'll approach the final few weeks with the same level of intensity.
Having spoken to the Welsh number one about this, he said that the £10,000 bonus for winning a night is still very much incentive enough to try and maintain the standard that has seen him get his work done early but even he said that he can't be certain that he doesn't subconsciously take his foot off the gas slightly.
In terms of winning the event outright, I'm still backing Clayton at 5/16.00.
Back Jonny Clayton to win the Premier League
Again, four of the eight players in the field were present at the Players Championship events earlier in the week but not a single one of them advanced beyond the Last 32 on either of the two days play, further highlighting the wild inconsistencies this season of many of the Premier League contingent.
A huge game in the race for the play-offs
Five points currently separate fourth placed Michael van Gerwen and reigning champion Luke Humphries down in sixth so with time running out for Cool Hand, this feels like a particularly big clash.
It's hard to deny that something seems a little off at the moment for Cool Hand. Despite putting in some tremendous scoring displays, he still seems to be lacking the ability to turn the screw in matches and put opponents to bed, when in high pressurised situations.
He was also wildly inconsistent against Keane Barry in Players Championship 12, averaging close to 10 points more than his opponent but still going down 6-5.
Whilst we know he's capable and proven in the past that he can real off consecutive nightly wins, he's going to need to dig deep to avoid missing out on finals night and the chance to defend his title. It feels like it's going to be more of a scrap to get over the line.
His Dutch opponent is more handily placed and there's been a lot to like about MvG's demeanour this campaign and I think he'll relish facing someone in desperate need of points. This their fourth meeting in the Premier League in 2026, MvG winning two of the previous three and at 6/52.20 I think he'll come out on top in this one too.
To add a bit more value to that, at 11/43.75 you can back the seven time Premier League champion to win and hit 3+ 180s.

Price needs to perform and pick up points
Gerwyn Price has put in two below par performances on the spin in the Premier League, fuming after defeat in Liverpool, he admitted that it feels like he takes two steps forward and twenty back.
With three successive quarter-final defeats, his form in this event has dipped right when his fortunes away from the Premier League have been much healthier.

Despite stating in Rotterdam that his main focus at the moment is on the farm that he has recently purchased back home in Wales, I'm expecting him to lock in and do enough to ensure he reaches finals night for just the third time in his career.
Having come out on top in his last three against Stephen Bunting, including their two meetings so far in this year's Premier League, I think he'll claim another victory against an inconsistent Bullet.
At 3/14.00, I'm backing The Iceman to complete the match treble.
