13:50, Goodwood - More to come from Infraad up in trip

Infraad held a Derby entry for William Haggas in the spring and holds an entry in next month's Great Voltigeur at York, but his trainer is exploiting the handicap route with him for the time being.

That indicates that he's held in high regard and it's only now that he's being stepped up to a mile and a half which makes him an interesting runner here with further improvement to come.

He was a wide-margin winner of a novice at Pontefract in April before being held back by his inexperience when third on his handicap debut at Chester last time, but he earned the 'Horse In Focus' flag for that run.

15:35, Goodwood - Pershaada the one to beat in Molecomb

Richard Hannon has won two recent editions of the Molecomb Stakes, and the 'Hot Trainer' has another likely speedy type for the race with the Middleham Park-owned filly Pershaada.

She was beaten at short odds on the all-weather on her first two starts but has improved with each run and showed she handles this track with a win in a novice here in May.

However, her best effort came last time when fourth in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, finishing among subsequent winners, and that form makes her top in the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings.

18:40, Galway - Gordon Elliott can land another Plate

Gordon Elliott has won five of the last ten editions of the Galway Plate and is well represented in this year's race with four runners plus one of the potential reserves.

Jack Kennedy hasn't won a Galway Plate yet, but it looks significant that the stable jockey has chosen Nowwhatdoyouthink who is having his first start for Elliott, meaning his mount has the 'Jockey Uplift' flag.

Previously with Ray Hackett, he won a Grade 3 chase at Cork in April but bettered that when third in the Champion Novice Chase at Punchestown and heads the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings as a result.
