Wolverhampton, 14:15 - Top-rated Secret Road can do better for this yard
Secret Road beat only one rival home on his first start for James Owen at Wolverhampton last month, but he proved much more competitive at Southwell on Sunday and was arguably unlucky not to win.
Secret Road, who was well supported stepping back up in trip to six furlongs, was hampered early on which meant he ended up further back than ideal. That arguably proved the difference between winning and losing as he was only denied by a short head by a more prominently ridden rival after staying on strongly in the straight.
A reproduction of the form Secret Road showed at Southwell would make him competitive here - he narrowly heads Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings - but it's worth remembering he showed better form a couple of seasons ago and hasn't long been with a yard renowned for rejuvenating its recruits.

Wolverhampton, 16:45 - 'Hot Trainer' Carroll can strike again with Quite Sweet
Tony Carroll sent out more winners on the all-weather than any other trainer in Britain last year and he has already made a flying start to 2026 with seven winners from only 22 runners at an impressive strike rate of 31.8%.
Carroll, who unsurprisingly has the Timeform Hot Trainer Flag to highlight the yard's good form, has a strong contender on Tuesday with Quite Sweet who narrowly tops Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings for division one of the extended mile handicap at Wolverhampton.
She wasn't at her best when only seventh at Lingfield last time but is better judged on the form she showed when a decisive winner of a Southwell handicap the time before. That race has produced a few subsequent winners and is a strong piece of form for the level, so Quite Sweet still looks fairly treated off this 6 lb higher mark, particularly as she's still lightly raced.

Wolverhampton, 17:15 - Top-Rated Fools Rush In has clear claims
Fools Rush In had been struggling for form since returning from a summer break, but he had been given a chance by the handicapper and left the impression that he's ready to capitalise on his much-reduced mark when finishing fourth over this course and distance last time.
Fools Rush In was beaten little more than half a length and did well to finish so close given he met with interference in the straight and was unable to fully open up.
He was running off 8 lb lower than when successful at this track last January, so he is clearly on a dangerous mark and comes out with a 4 lb edge on Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings here.
