18:28, Lingfield - Wolverhampton runner-up Captive Beauty to go one better

Captive Beauty is less exposed than most of these and shaped well when a close second last time from off the pace, so another step forward could be enough for her to edge out the experienced Split Elevens.

The Ross Burdon-trained three-year-old was easy to back on her handicap debut but made more impact than previously, and it's plausible that she'd have got to the winner Distillation but for meeting trouble briefly late on.

The form looks solid, and this ex-Ken Condon-trained filly can defy a 2 lb higher mark

18:58, Lingfield - Top-rated course winner Zaltalla gets the nod

Zaltalla has shown promise since joining this yard, looking unlucky when meeting trouble last time, and if handling the drop to six furlongs, he could prove the answer.

The Gary & Josh Moore-trained five-year-old tops Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings here following that effort, and although he doesn't have an encouraging strike-rate, he has only had a couple of starts since leaving Michael Attwater.

The Timeform pace prediction is 'strong' thanks to the presence of Real Gold and Pure Passion amongst others, which should ensure it is enough of a test.

19:04, Salisbury - Goodwood eye-catcher Siena Storm the clear one to beat

A low turnout for a very valuable novice, with Siena Storm selected to build on her encouraging debut fourth at Goodwood a fortnight ago with this step up in trip sure to be in her favour.

Ed Walker won this race with the same connections' Qilin Queen in 2024, though Siena Storm is likely to be nowhere near the 16/1 her stablemate was sent off at that day following a fine start last month.

Having cost €600,000 at the breeze-ups, she shaped encouragingly, making headway when running green under two furlongs out before keeping on. Though she's up against some decent prospects, she looks the banker on the card.
