14:30 Hamilton - The Resdev Roman to progress again

Mick & David Easterby gave The Resdev Roman a summer break after her first two starts when quite highly tried and she returned a much-improved filly to win a novice at Ripon earlier this month with a bit in hand.

Helping force the pace and travelling well, she went on to win by a length and a quarter from American Psycho and looks the type to go on improving now that her attentions are turned to nurseries.

The going was on the soft side at Ripon and conditions may well be more testing here, but The Resdev Roman's pedigree gives good grounds for thinking that she'll be well able to handle them.

16:08 Plumpton - Mojito des Mottes could be useful

The most valuable event on Plumpton's card is the handicap hurdle over just short of two miles, and it can go to Ben Pauling's four-year-old Mojito des Mottes who looks potentially useful for owner J. P. McManus.

He ended last season being beaten a neck by King Al in a valuable juvenile handicap at Ascot following a breathing operation and looked unlucky not to win after meeting trouble entering the straight.

After being weak in the betting when pulled up in the Summer Handicap Hurdle on his return, Mojito des Mottes was an easy winner at Newton Abbot last time and can follow up as the Timeform top-rated.

16:38 Plumpton - Aggagio on a good mark

This could see a local success for the yard of Gary & Josh Moore with Aggagio who looks potentially well treated over hurdles these days.

A Goodwood regular on the Flat, he hasn't won this year but showed that he's still capable of fairly useful form in that sphere, while he's now a stone lower in the weights over hurdles than he was last autumn.

He was too keen for his own good back over hurdles at Fontwell last time, but Caoilin Quinn has a good record on him and he looks worth another chance with the headgear left off this time.
