14:30 Curragh - Improving Loughrea to win again

Andy Slattery's lightly-raced four-year-old Loughrea is improving in leaps and bounds and, dropping back to seven furlongs, he can progress again and complete a four-timer stepping up to listed company.

After getting off the mark in a maiden at the Curragh and following up on his handicap debut at Leopardstown, he completed his hat-trick back at the Curragh in the Irish Cambridgeshire in August.

Loughrea earned the 'Horse In Focus' flag for that ready three-length success, his style of racing suggests the drop back from a mile is sure to suit, and he heads the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings too.

15:50 Longchamp - Aventure to prove too good for younger fillies

Three-year-old fillies account for most of the field in the Prix de l'Opera and that age-group have an excellent record but it's Christophe Ferland's five-year-old mare Aventure who appeals most in this year's race.

She's probably best known for chasing home Bluestocking in the Arc two years ago, but she foregoes a third attempt at that race after finishing out of the frame for the only time in her life in last year's Arc.

Aventure is just as effective at a mile and a quarter and, top rated here, she returned to something like her best when ending Diamond Necklace's unbeaten record in the Prix Jean et Louis Romanet at Deauville.

16:25 Longchamp - Samangan can bag a second Group 1

Samangan showed improved form in a couple of starts at Deauville over the summer with the cheekpieces on and he's capable of following up his Prix Maurice de Gheest victory for Francis-Henri Graffard.

The first four from the Prix Jean Prat at Deauville in July all meet again here, and while Samangan came off worst behind Thesecretadversary on that occasion, less than a length covered the quartet in question.

Samangan took another step forward in the Maurice de Gheest, turning the tables on True Love, and with the return to seven furlongs and underfoot conditions in his favour, he's capable of following up.
