Timeform pick out the horses to note on Sunday

Timeform highlight three horses of interest at Fakenham and Lingfield on Sunday.

  • Sea Presenting remains open to further improvement

  • Bolsover Bill has been given a chance by the handicapper

  • Bucksy des Epeires worth another chance

Lingfield, 13:30 - 'Horse In Focus' Sea Presenting found good opening

Sea Presenting has finished placed on all four starts over hurdles and produced an encouraging effort when runner-up on her return over this course and distance last month.

Sea Presenting, making her first start since undergoing a wind operation, proved no match for the winner, Broomfield Aderra, but Dan Skelton's lightly-raced winner looks a useful prospect so there was no shame in coming up short. It was encouraging how Sea Presenting stuck to her task to pull 17 lengths clear of the third and she was awarded the Horse In Focus Flag by Timeform's reporter to mark her out as one likely to be of firm interest next time.

Sea Presenting's hurdles form is the best on offer and she still has the Timeform 'small p' to show that she remains likely to improve further, so she looks the one to beat.

Fakenham, 14:15 - Top-rated Bolsover Bill is on a good mark

Bolsover Bill finished down the field in a handicap hurdle at Leicester last month - the first time he had run over hurdles since May 2022 - but he went with more promise than the bare result would suggest before understandably tiring on his first outing in 20 months.

Bolsover Bill should be fitter with that outing under his belt and looks interesting on his return to chasing having been eased 7 lb since finishing third in a handicap at Chepstow in April 2024.

He is able to run off his last winning mark and heads Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings by 6 lb based on that form, so he is clearly leniently treated if retaining all his ability.

Lingfield, 15:00 - Top-rated Bucksy des Epeires is well treated

Bucksy des Epeires disappointed when well backed on his seasonal reappearance at Fontwell but, while he had won a couple of times when fresh before, he was his stable's first runner of the core season and the yard may not have been firing on all cylinders.

Venetia Williams has had some winners of late, however, and Bucksy des Epeires looks to have a good chance of bouncing back. He has been dropped 2 lb since his latest effort which leaves him only 2 lb above the mark he comfortably defied on his chasing debut at Ascot last season.

He should prove suited by this step up in trip and looks the one to beat on these terms - he heads Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings by 4 lb.
