Timeform pick out the horses of interest on Wednesday

Timeform highlight three horses of interest at Hereford, Kempton and Southwell on Wednesday.

Hereford, 16:33 - 'Horse In Focus' Kel du Large remains likely to improve

Kel du Large has been beaten on all three starts this season after returning from a long absence, but he has been unsuited by competing in steadily-run races that have placed the emphasis on speed, so he has had excuses.

The steady pace at Windsor last time prevented him from making the anticipated improvement when he was upped to two and a half miles, but he was awarded the Horse In Focus Flag from Timeform's reporter to mark him out as one still likely to be of firm interest next time under different circumstances.

He's potentially well treated based on the ability he showed when winning both starts in bumpers a couple of seasons ago and still has the Timeform 'small p' to highlight that he remains likely to progress over hurdles.

Southwell, 16:44 - 'Horse In Focus' Marra Donna can build on recent promise

Marra Donna was well backed on his handicap debut at Wolverhampton last week and went close to rewarding that support, losing out by just a couple of necks in second.

He was only collared near the line having been sent for home a fair way out, and that promising effort earned him the Horse In Focus Flag from Timeform's reporter.

He showed enough to suggest that he's started out in handicaps from a lenient mark and he looks well treated off the same perch here, heading Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings by 2 lb.

Kempton, 18:40 - Murphy booking generates 'Jockey Uplift' flag for All Moonshine

All Moonshine shaped with promise when third on debut at Newcastle in November and stepped up on that when overcoming lingering signs of greenness to get off the mark at Southwell the following month, ultimately scoring decisively after finding plenty.

She took another step forward to defy a penalty at Wolverhampton last month, leaving the impression that she had a bit in hand despite being closed down late on.

She now goes handicapping with a progressive profile - she still has the Timeform 'small p' - and the step up in trip to a mile promises to bring about further improvement. She will also have the assistance of Oisin Murphy in the saddle for the first time and that booking has generated Timeform's Jockey Uplift Flag.
