Bath, 15:30 - 'Horse In Focus' Alvin can build on recent promise
Alvin hasn't been seen to best effect on either start in handicaps, but he did well to get to within a neck and a nose in third at Lingfield last time, catching the eye of Timeform's reporter who awarded the Horse In Focus Flag, marking him out as one likely to be of firm interest next time.
Alvin was soon on the back foot at Lingfield after he was hampered shortly after the start and he also harmed his chance by hanging wide on the turn for home. He had plenty to do early in the straight but finished with a flourish to get into the places, leaving the impression he could have won under different circumstances.
He looks well treated after edging up only 1 lb for that promising effort and narrowly heads Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings here. His latest effort was over six furlongs but he should cope with the drop in trip having won a novice over this distance at Wolverhampton in February.

Bath, 16:30 - Top-rated Candonomore can go one better
Candonomore won three times for Tim Easterby last season, and he went close to opening his tally for Stuart Williams at Yarmouth last time.
Candonomore stepped up on his first few runs for his new stable when runner-up at Kempton, where he found only a gambled-on rival too strong, and he then produced an even better effort when denied by only a short head at Yarmouth.
That Yarmouth effort matched the pick of his performances for his former stable and suggests that he's ready to strike. He is well treated off the same mark as at Yarmouth and heads Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings by 3 lb.

Lingfield, 16:45 - Improving Storm Point can progress again
Storm Point offered some encouragement without making a telling impact as a juvenile, notably when a staying-on fourth at Wolverhampton on his final start last season, and he built on that promise when making a successful handicap debut at Kempton on his reappearance four weeks ago.
Storm Point, who had been gelded ahead of his return to action, responded well to more positive tactics being employed and found plenty for pressure to score by a length and a quarter from the hat-trick seeking Lion of Mali, showing much-improved form in the process.
That form was given a boost when Lion of Mali got back to winning ways at Leicester on Saturday, so Storm Point looks a strong contender off just a 4 lb higher mark, particularly as he still has the Timeform 'small p' to show that further improvement is expected.
