Kempton, 15:00 - 'Horse In Focus' Rukaana has strong form
Rukaana was a comfortable winner at Windsor on his penultimate start but then showed arguably even better form in defeat when runner-up at Catterick last time.
There was a lot to like about Rukaana's performance as he travelled well and found plenty for pressure but was overhauled near the line following a good battle up the run-in.
Rukaana did well to pull seven lengths clear of the third and was awarded the Horse In Focus Flag by Timeform's reporter, marking him out as one likely to be of firm interest next time. That's especially true since the form has worked out so well with the winner, fourth and sixth all scoring next time out.

Kempton, 15:30 - Top-rated Thelasthighking given chance by handicapper
Thelasthighking has questions to answer as he was out of form when last seen in November 2024, but he's been given a big chance by the handicapper and is an interesting runner on his return.
Thelasthighking has Timeform's Horses For Courses Flag to highlight his effectiveness at this venue having run well when runner-up in a couple of handicaps in the autumn of 2023. The second of those efforts came off a mark 16 lb higher than the one he competes off on Monday.
Even based on the form Thelasthighking showed when sixth on his final start that season, he comes out 5 lb clear on Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings, while he also has the assistance of good-value 5 lb claimer Toby McCain-Mitchell whose booking has generated Timeform's Jockey Uplift Flag.

Kempton, 16:05 - 'Horses For Courses' Gustavian can back up solid effort
Gustavian is an 11-year-old but has looked as good as ever this season and has shown he remains a useful chaser.
He was a comprehensive winner of the Badger Beers Chase on his reappearance at Wincanton and ran well in another valuable handicap chase last month when fourth over the same course and distance he tackles on Monday.
That creditable effort means Gustavian has Timeform's Horses For Courses Flag and he looks likely to launch another bold bid around here, especially as he drops markedly in grade and is in a much less competitive race. He also narrowly heads Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings so looks the one to beat.
