Timeform highlight three horses of interest at Kempton and Ludlow on Monday...

  • That'll Do Moss runner-up in Grade 1 at Fairyhouse last time

  • Chance Another One can resume progress back over fences

  • More to come from Pure Carbon

14:30, Kempton - That'll Do Moss still lightly raced over hurdles

Fergal O'Brien's That'll Do Moss has a leading chance in Kempton's mares' listed hurdle on the form she showed in Grade 1 mares' novice company at Fairyhouse on her final start last season. That'll Do Moss made a successful debut over hurdles at Ayr before finishing runner-up in each of her three remaining starts, including when beaten a short head in the Grade 2 Jane Seymour Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Sandown.

But much her best effort came in the Honeysuckle Mares Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse. That'll Do Moss ran a cracker at 50/1 in finishing two and a quarter lengths second to Aurora Vega, staying on well to finish clear of the rest.

On that form, That'll Do Moss has the beating of Irish raider Dream On Baby who had been getting weight from Aurora Vega when runner-up to her in a Grade 3 contest at Fairyhouse earlier last season. That'll Do Moss has the potential to do better still this season after just the four starts over hurdles.

15:05, Kempton - Chance Another One much improved for current yard

As well as Dream On Baby in the preceding contest, Emmet Mullins, whose runners in Britain always need respecting, also sends over a leading contender for the handicap chase with Chance Another One.

Chance Another One has been much improved since joining Mullins this season, starting off by easily winning a handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe in the summer after more than a year off. He was hiked 20 lb in the handicap for that effort but still ran very well to finish second in a similar event at the Galway Festival on his next start, before returning to Ballinrobe to record a smooth win on his debut over fences.

While Chance Another One was only mid-division back over hurdles in a Pertemps Qualifier at Cheltenham last time, that followed a bad mistake three out. But as a former winning pointer, he remains with plenty of potential switching back to the larger obstacles and looks capable of resuming his progress here.

15:15, Ludlow - Pure Carbon progressing for stable in form

Pure Carbon has taken very well to fences for 'Hot Trainer' Harry Derham following a breathing operation over the summer and can follow up his success earlier in the month.

Pure Carbon pulled a long way clear with winner Lightning Flash when second on his chasing debut in a handicap at Chepstow in October and then improved to go one better at Huntingdon last time. Jumping and travelling well under a patient ride, Pure Carbon led two out before responding well to beat Homme d'Un Soir by a length and a quarter, the pair again finishing clear of the rest.

Pure Carbon earned the 'Horse In Focus' flag for that effort and he heads the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings here, with the 'p' symbol indicating further improvement to come off for his in-form yard from a 6 lb higher mark.
