Timeform pick out the horses to note on Monday

Timeform highlight three horses of interest at Ludlow on Monday.

14:27, Ludlow - Scarlet Moon to make most of weight allowance

Jimbo Sport has made a bright start over hurdles but may struggle to give weight away to the consistent four-year-old Scarlet Moon

Archie Watson is more known for his Flat runners, and Scarlet Moon made hay as a three-year-old handicapper in that sphere, winning his first three starts in the spring before adding a fourth success in July.

He made a good transition to hurdling thereafter, winning at Warwick and running well in defeat on his four starts since, with his best efforts arguably coming on good ground. He gets those conditions here, and, well clear on Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings, is fancied to see off C&D winner Snatch A Glance.

15:57, Ludlow - Race to suit top-rated Ansamm once again

Although Ansamm has failed to complete on both starts since his course win in December it wasn't his fault last time (hampered and unseated) and he's taken to add to his 2023 success in this same contest which was achieved from a 10 lb higher perch.

The 11-year-old, who tops Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings, has three course wins to his name and has shown a clear liking for right-handed courses as he tends to jump to his right. That can sometimes cause problems, but he looks likely to get his own way out in front here (Timeform pace prediction of 'weak').

Your Darling's tendency to find little off the bridle means he isn't one for maximum faith - he has the dreaded Timeform 'squiggle' - but he has plenty of class for this grade and is taken to fill the forecast spot.

16:27, Ludlow - Unpenalised 'Horse In Focus' High Fibre the one to beat

Unpenalised for last week's impressive 0-120 Kempton success, this looks a good opportunity for High Fibre to follow up in the same grade.

The Harry Fry-trained seven-year-old caught the eye in defeat towards the end of 2025 in the tongue-tie/cheekpieces combination, and then ran out a comfortable winner on his return to action at Kempton last time.

Ciaran O'Shea was on board in that conditional jockeys' contest and retains the ride here on the lightly-weighted gelding. With the young rider able to claim his full allowance of 7 lb, and the Fry yard currently having the 'hot trainer' flag, his mount is hard to oppose.
