Market Rasen, 14:10 - Back High Fibre E/W @ 10/111.00
While Saturday is one of the lower profile ITV days in terms of quality, there is a bit of something for everyone and we'll start off over jumps with a selection at Market Rasen.
Now, there's every chance that Dan Skelton's Louis Veron could be chucked in from a mark of 124 in his first handicap hurdle having bolted up in maiden and novice company on his last two starts. However, he's a short enough price as it is now and there's also the prospect that he could go off even shorter on the day.
I'm going to take an each-way shot against him with a relatively new recruit of James Owen's in the shape of High Fibre.
Owen has quickly established himself as the sort of trainer to illicit improvement from new acquisitions and a recent spin on the flat having joined from Harry Fry should tee him up nicely for a race that the stable has won in two of the last three years.

Newbury, 14:25 - Back Ride The Thunder @ 3/14.00
Back on the flat, where Roger Varian's Ride The Thunder remains a stayer to be positive about following his sixth-place finish in the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle last time.
That was the selection's first try over 2m having produced a good comeback run over 1m 5f at Hamilton on his previous start, finishing third to Valiancy, who subsequently ran with credit to finish sixth in the Copper Horse Handicap at Royal Ascot.
Further back in the field, Mountain Road also did the form a favour by winning next time, as did Trojan Sun, who finished out with the washing but went in on his next start at Carlisle.
Ride The Thunder is unexposed over this 2m+ and remains with plenty of potential for better than he's shown so far, while the booking of Tom Marquand only adds to the appeal.

Ripon, 15:15 - Back Star Harbour E/W @ 10/111.00
The ITV cameras are also at Ripon on Saturday where the feature race of the day is the intriguing Ripon Bell-Ringer Handicap over 1m 4f.
One of the obvious starting is points is Charlie Johnston's Elsass, who was on searching for a hat-trick before finding things all a bit too much in good company at Newmarket last time.
He should appreciate dropping back down in grade, but so too should Irish raider Star Harbour, who routinely keeps better comanpy than this. Adrian McGuinness's eight-year-old hasn't won for some time but he's a consistent sort and I suspect his trainer isn't sending him all the way to Ripon for a taste of the Yorkshire air.
A repeat of his runner-up finish at Carlisle two starts back when he bumped into subsequent Royal Ascot winner Opportunity will see him go very close here and he looks overpriced at 10/111.00.

Curragh, 16:35 - Irish Oaks: Back Amelia Earhart @ 5/16.00
If Thundering On turns up to the Irish Oaks in the same sort of form she was in when taking the Epsom equivalent six weeks ago then she'll clearly take all the beating.
However, that was an odd race on softening ground, and I'm not convinced she's quite as good as she was made to look there.
She couldn't match strides with Estrange and one or two others when only fourth in the Pretty Polly here last time and, though she emerged with an official excuse (found to be coughing), I'm happy enough to take her on.
Amelia Earhart was all the rage at Epsom as she went into that race well on the upgrade but could only finish sixth. However, I'd be pretty sure that wasn't her true running and I'm happy to give her a pass for that.
As you'd expect, Aidan O'Brien has an excellent record in this contest and first-time cheekpieces could see Amelia Earhart get back on the up.
