Goodwood 14:00 - William of Orange

William of Orange finished to great effect on his first attempt at two miles at York last time, coming home a fast-finishing runner-up, and he shapes as if he'll be well suited by this even stiffer test of stamina. William of Orange is in the expert hands of Sir Mark Prescott, has already shown he's on a fair mark and possesses the scope for further improvement, so he makes obvious appeal.

Goodwood 14:35 - Highland Reel

Highland Reel needs to bounce back from a lacklustre performance in the Irish Derby last time but his previous second in the French Derby is the best form on offer by some margin and he is well worth another chance. Highland Reel hasn't yet proven himself over a mile and a half - and he's not sure to stay based on pedigree - but his running style offers some hope and he enjoys a clear class edge over his rivals.

Goodwood 15:45 - Washington DC

Washington DC showed tremendous speed when winning the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot and this sort of test should be ideal. Washington DC remains open to further progress as a sprinter and may be capable of improving past King of Rooks who just about sets the standard based on his impressive win in the National Stakes.
