Nottingham 14:50 - Gold Club

Gold Club belatedly opened his account over at Kempton in March (6f) and duly followed up at Wolverhampton (7f) later that month. He's still without a win on turf but shaped well over seven furlongs at Doncaster last time, travelling powerfully for much of the way before paying the price for racing freely, and should be suited by dropping back to sprint distances.

Chelmsford 19:50 - Thahab

C&D winner Thahab was below his best when finishing mid-field in a competitive handicap last month, but he had a hopeless task having been held up in a race in which it paid to race prominently, and he can get back on the upward curve. Thahab remains relatively lightly-raced and looks capable of better, so he might take a bit of beating in this company.

Chelmsford 20:50 - Gentlemusic

Gentlemusic was much improved when winning a C&D handicap last month and a reproduction of that form would see Marco Botti's filly go extremely close. Gentlemusic did have things go her way, well suited by the strong gallop with race-fitness on her side, but she's a likeable type and not completely exposed, so there could be more to come.
