Bath 14:50 - Kazziana

The regally-bred Kazziana - daughter of Guineas/Oaks winner Kazzia - improved on her debut effort when running out a ready winner of a Kempton maiden recently, and she seems to have been handed a lenient mark ahead of her handicap bow, her pedigree, looks and form suggesting that a mark of 77 underplays her ability. Moonlight Sonata and Midas Haze are two obvious dangers, but Kazziana may be thrown in off this mark and should prove difficult to beat.

Bath 15:50 - Shaden

Shaden bounced back from a Royal Ascot flop - effort excusable on account of losing a shoe - when winning at Ffos Las in July, beating a subsequent winner in ready fashion, and a similar sort of performance ought to be good enough to score here. Unlike some of her rivals, Shaden is very much a horse on the up and still has plenty to offer, so she makes obvious appeal.

Bath 17:20 - Ferngrove

Ferngrove ran well on his first start for Warren Greatrex at Catterick, staying on well close home to finish a never-nearer second in a mile-and-a-half amateur riders' handicap, and he should benefit from this step up in trip as well as the expert handling of Jamie Spencer. Ferngrove is relatively lightly raced for a four-year-old and it wouldn't be a surprise were the excellent Greatrex able to coax further improvement.
