Timeform bring you the best bets from Ripon and Wolverhampton on Tuesday...
Ripon 14:55 - Secret Lightning
The Mick Appleby-trained Secret Lightning looks to have turned the corner recently, scoring at Thirsk prior to finishing nicely clear of the rest when narrowly foiled at Hamilton last week. She's a step ahead of the handicapper reappearing quickly off the same mark and has an obvious chance. It would be little surprise were Taraz, a lightly-raced sort from a top yard, to improve significantly on handicap bow, but Secret Lightning sets a good standard and should be tough to beat.
Wolverhampton 19:20 - Van Wilder
The Richard Fahey-trained Van Wilder has made a promising start to his career, building on a decent third on debut to win his next two outings, and he can land the hat-trick on his handicap debut. Both of Van Wilder's wins have come over six furlongs, but he looks sure to appreciate the step up to seven furlongs, while the tapeta surface clearly isn't a problem, so he should prove too good.
Wolverhampton 20:50 - Taqneen
Taqneen was well beaten on his latest start at Ripon but that effort did come on heavy ground, and he'd shaped well on his return at Kempton the time before, so he may be worth forgiving. A well-bred, lightly-raced four-year-old, Taqneen might still have a bit more to offer, and is taken to get back on track.
