Secret Millionaire looks well treated on his best form and he can take the opening five-furlong handicap at Lingfield (14:00). Tony Carroll's seven-year-old shaped well over six furlongs at Kempton last time, travelling well for much of the way and hitting the front over a furlong out, but he couldn't maintain the effort, meeting trouble and weakening into ninth close home. All five of his career wins have been achieved at around five furlongs, so the drop back in trip ought to suit, and he holds leading claims this afternoon.

Watt Broderick demonstrated that he is in excellent heart by running out a clear-cut winner of a one-and-a-half mile handicap at Kempton last time, and he can defy a penalty to win the 15:30 at Lingfield. Watt Broderick showed his liking for the polytrack by finishing runner-up at a big price in a Kempton jumpers' bumper on his penultimate outing, and he built on that effort when easily scoring at the same venue last time. Always travelling powerfully, Watt Broderick, who had been anchored in last, probably wasn't ideally placed given the steadily-run nature of the race, but he proved much too good, quickening clear and keeping on well. A 6 lb penalty should not be enough to prevent him following up.

We wait until the one-mile handicap at Kempton (20:00) for our final bet as we take a chance on the well-handicapped five-year-old Mr Red Clubs. Mr Red Clubs went like the best horse at the weights in a nine-and-a-half furlong Apprentice Handicap last time, but he was ridden too aggressively over a trip that is probably slightly beyond his optimum, and he should benefit from the drop back to a mile. Mr Red Clubs has won all-weather handicaps from higher marks in the past and, clearly in good form at present, he can take advantage of his fair mark.
