Timeform's UK SmartPlays Team bring you three more bets with all of today's selections coming from Haydock Park...

Gabrial the Hero (14:20) has improved with each and every start so far and he can follow-up last month's victory, at this venue, over today's two furlong longer trip. Gabrial the Hero got off the mark at the fourth time of asking over twelve furlongs last time, pulling seven lengths clear of his nearest rival and looking as though he would remain with some potential. He looks likely to relish the step up in distance and he remains lightly-raced enough for improvement to be forthcoming with plenty in his favour today. The main danger this afternoon is likely to come in the form of Gassin Golf but, with Jamie Spencer in the saddle, Gabrial the Hero is the one that gets the nod.

Ittirad is our second selection of the afternoon, with Roger Varian's four-year-old set to go to post in the 15:50 at Haydock, a handicap that looks potentially above average given the unexposed profiles of a number of the runners. Ittirad produced an encouraging seasonal reappearance when fourth at Epsom last time, and he is taken as being capable of building upon that performance and landing this afternoon's contest at rewarding odds. Ittirad, who has raced only on going softer than good, has all the credentials of one who could continue to progress this season and connections clearly have hope for decent things given that he was tried in a Group 3 at Ascot last year. He could remain potentially well treated off a BHA mark of 86, and appeals as Bet of the Day material.

Look Left (16:50) is our third and final selection of the afternoon at Haydock, and the four-year-old gelding could have more to offer having had only the six career starts so far, this afternoon's contest also just his third start for David Simcock having left John Gosden last year. Look Left has shaped in the past as if a step up in trip to a mile and a half woud suit but, with conditions likely to be fairly testing, the extended mile and a quarter trip could prove perfect. Jamie Spencer is booked for the ride and he could provide a double for the SmartPlays column with Gabrial the Hero already representing us in the opener.
