Pinkneys Prince showed that all his ability remains intact and, hailing from a yard that have hit form in recent weeks, he could yet do better as a chaser, this just his third start over fences.
Timeform bring you bets from Wednesday's National Hunt meetings at Ludlow and Taunton...
Ludlow 13:30 - Swivel
Swivel was a useful-middle distance horse on the Flat for Mark Johnston, winning six times in 2014, and he produced an encouraging performance on his hurdling debut at Kempton, failing to trouble a pair of exciting prospects but beating the remainder. Swivel isn't the biggest, but he seemed to take well to hurdling at Kempton, and wasn't given anything like a hard time once his winning chance had gone. He looks sure to progress from that and is up to winning races over hurdles.
Ludlow 14:00 - Citizenship
Citizenship hasn't gone on to achieve as much as may have been expected following his win in an ultra-competitive, valuable handicap hurdle back in 2012, but he did shape well on his chasing bow here in November and is likely to go close if in the same form. Citizenship may yet do slightly better with the benefit of that experience under his belt, and this doesn't look the strongest of races.
Taunton 14:40 - Pinkneys Prince
The lightly raced Pinkneys Prince was in the process of running well when coming down three from home on his return from a 13-month absence at Wincanton, and he can gain some compensation here.
