Newbury 13:45 - Top Gamble

Few horses take to chasing like Top Gamble has, bold, fluent jumping the trademark of his two wins over fences so far. Top Gamble is 8 lb higher than when winning at Warwick last time, but that win was achieved in comfortable fashion, and, bearing in mind the promise he's shown throughout his career allied with his aptitude for chasing, there should be plenty left to come. 

Newbury 14:50 - Smiles For Miles

Smiles For Miles failed to complete the hat-trick at Chepstow last time but he shaped better than the bare result having been ridden too aggressively, and he might be able to bounce back here. Smiles For Miles showed just fair form over hurdles, but he's been a different proposition since sent chasing, and he still looks to be on a decent mark, despite only finishing third at Chepstow.

Newbury 15:25 - Gabriella Rose

Alan King's well-bred mare Gabriella Rose showed glimpses of ability in a couple of bumper starts, but, given her pedigree, she was always likely to come into her own over obstacles, and she proved as much at Towcester. Making her hurdling debut, Gabriella Rose created a good impression when drawing clear to win comfortably, and that level of form is just about the best on offer. With the potential to improve further, we will side with Gabriella Rose.
