In the nursery at 14:50, Truth Or Dare looks to have at least as good a chance as his (admittedly shortish) odds suggest. He won over seven furlongs here last time, recording a good timefigure, and has been handed a lenient mark on that basis now switched to handicaps. He won't have any trouble staying a mile if his dam (stayed one and a half miles) is any guide, and with the promise of more improvement as he gains in experience Truth Or Dare has outstanding claims today.

We turn our attention to the day's listed race next, the Upavon Stakes at 15:55. Rock Choir is bound to be popular, being useful already and highly progressive, but there could be value just behind her in the betting. Hippy Hippy Shake won in this grade at York last time, putting up a career-best effort in the process, and although she'd probably be better off going up in trip rather than slightly back she coped well with a muddling pace at York and essentially has no excuse for not giving her running again. If she does, Rock Choir will need to improve.

Finally, we tackle the 16:30, a handicap over the same trip as the Upavon. It could pay to focus on the three-year-olds, in particular the Daniel Kubler-trained Lisa's Legacy. Trained by Richard Hannon last year, Lisa's Legacy has edged forward by the run for her new yard, though that doesn't tell the story where her last run is concerned. In a typically messy Lingfield race, she was shuffled back to last entering the straight before finishing powerfully, doing well to be beaten by just four lengths. Racing off the same mark today, Lisa's Legacy ought to go close at fairly attractive odds.
