Our first bet runs in the opening contest (14:20) at Goodwood as we side with Wizara. The Saeed Bin Suroor-trained filly was sent off at 25/1 on debut at Newbury but she showed plenty of promise, making good progress from rear before fading slightly inside the final furlong. Wizara was by no means unduly punished once it was clear that her winning chance had gone and she should benefit enormously from that initial experience. It is expected that Wizara will be much sharper this afternoon and can get off the mark. 

Wahaab unsurprisingly found the Coventry Stakes too tough on just his second start but he did show up well for a long way at Ascot and can take advantage of the easier opportunity in the seven-furlong minor event at Goodwood (15:30). Richard Hannon's juvenile attracted significant market support ahead of a successful debut at this venue, overcoming obvious signs of inexperience to run out a ready winner, and looked like a colt of some potential. Wahaab remains unexposed having had just the two starts and the impeccably-bred two-year-old is capable of bouncing back to winning ways.

Royal Guinevere has contributed to trainer Dean Ivory's excellent campaign this season and the three-year-old filly is capable of registering a hat-trick of wins by landing the six-furlong handicap at 17:10. Royal Guinevere showed much improved form to get off the mark on her handicap debut at Nottingham in April and has continued in good form, finishing in the frame on all five subsequent starts. Her latest two efforts have been particularly encouraging, scoring at both Doncaster and Warwick, and she is firmly on an upward curve at present.
