John Gosden's Rasheed (16:20) has looked a better horse over staying trips this year and can land the two-mile handicap at Goodwood today. He has won three of his last five races in handicaps and wasn't disgraced when fifth in the Queen's Prize at Kempton last time. The partnership of Gosden and Buick have a 27% strike-rate when combining at the track and Rasheed may still have more to offer returning to turf.

Mubaraza (19:35) looks the best bet in the mile-and-a-quarter handicap at Sandown this evening. John Dunlop's three-year-old wasn't given a tough time when held on soft ground at Newmarket on his handicap debut at the beginning of the month and underfoot conditions will be more to his liking in tonight. He holds loftier aspirations beyond handicap company (still in the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot) and looks the type to progress at the trip and beyond.

Miss Cato (20:40) gets the the nod in Sandown's finale, a competitive fillies' handicap. She has won three of her five starts and although she has shown a propensity for a slower surface, the better ground shouldn't hinder her chances. Rae Guest's three-year-old was a ready winner at Yarmouth two starts ago and was only reeled in late when stepped up to ten furlongs for the first time at Nottingham last month. The drop down a furlong should suit her.
