We get underway in the 14:40 at Bath where Buzz Law, who caught the eye on his most recent start at Newmarket, is taken to gain a fourth career win. The four-year-old has become well handicapped and got back to somewhere near his best when fourth on the July course last month, making steady headway on the bridle before not being granted a clear run inside the final furlong, keeping on well once in the clear. It was an effort that marked him down as worth backing the next time he took to the track, and Buzz Law can confirm that impression by landing the spoils this afternoon.

We now switch our attention to Ffos Las where Selfara, who is very much on an upward curve at present, has an excellent chance of landing the hat-trick in the six furlong handicap at 16:00. The three-year-old put up an improved effort when second over C&D in July, before going on to improve further still in winning at Nottingham and Folkestone, fitted with a tongue-tie on the latter two occasions. A 6 lb rise in the weights seems fair, and she looks more than up to hitting the mark once more.

The final event at Ffos Las takes place at 17:30, and punters can end the day well by supporting the Robin Bastiman-trained Lizzy's Dream. The four-year-old was on a roll in the spring, winning twice at Wolverhampton, and belied a six month absence to score on his return at Musselburgh, improving upon anything he had done before. Spic 'N Span and Tenancy are likely to provide the pace for Lizzy's Dream to aim at, and he remains open to further progress, with the Timeform 'p' being attached to his weight-adjusted rating of 79.
