Timeform have found three bets at Market Rasen

Dursey Sound's Bangor success confirmed that he has returned in good heart and he is an exciting prospect...

There are some interesting contests at Market Rasen on Sunday and that is where we head for Sunday's three best bets...

Dursey Sound made an encouraging debut over fences when winning at Bangor and he remains open to plenty of progress; he can take the novices' handicap chase at 14:45. Second on his only start in bumpers for Charlie Swan, Dursey Sound made an immediate impression for his new yard when twice winning over hurdles, showing fairly useful form to beat Fourjacks on the second occasion. Dursey Sound was immediately upped in grade and showed further progress, despite tasting defeat, when runner-up to Easter Day at Ascot. Dursey Sound signed off for last season on a low, pulled-up behind The New One, but his Bangor success confirmed that he has returned in good heart and he is an exciting prospect.

The two-and-a-half mile handicap chase at 15:20 doesn't look like an especially strong affair and we will side with Legendary Hop. A winning pointer, Legendary Hop could show only modest form over hurdles and she was extremely disappointing on her chasing bow at Wetherby last year. She was much better on her only subsequent start, though, finishing third at Southwell, and could still have a small amount of improvement left, a comment which doesn't apply to many of her rivals. She could offer a spot of value and gets the tentative vote.

The concluding handicap hurdle (15:50) looks like a trappy event but Favorite Girl looks fairly treated and is worth backing to register a first win over hurdles. She needs to be forgiven an extremely disappointing effort at Fakenham when last seen, but that was too bad to be true and she ran as if amiss, so that run shouldn't be held against her. Favorite Girl had performed respectably on the all-weather prior to that and there was plenty to like about her handicap hurdle debut at Doncaster where she finished second over two miles despite the trip appearing to be on the sharp side. She can do better in this sphere and is worth backing on her return.
