Short Takes won a C&D claimer in November and should benefit from a recent pipe-opener at Catterick. He gets the nod ahead of Tealissio and Malanos.

Astigos - 16:10 Sedgefield

Astigos almost snatched the Timeform Novices' Handicap Chase out of the fire at Cheltenham in January, and is worth siding with to get the job done in this less competitive affair. Sun Cloud may prove the biggest threat.
