The ten-furlong handicap at 14:00 looks like a tight-knit affair, featuring a number of horses with solid claims, but Argaki has been in good form of late and gets the vote. Argaki had been out of sorts on his first couple of outings this season, the runs perhaps needed to bring him to peak fitness, but he bounced back to something like his best when runner-up at Hamilton last month and backed that effort up with a creditable third here just three days later. Argaki isn't hiding anything from the handicapper, but the same can be said for most of these and the fact he enters the race at the top of his game is a clear positive. He should give another good account. 

Our next bet goes in the one-mile handicap at 15:30 as we side with the reliable veteran Dubai Dynamo. A few potential pace angles have come out and that is by no means ideal as the fast pace would have played into the hands of Dubai Dynamo, but there is still probably enough mileage in siding with Ruth Carr's nine-year-old. Dubai Dynamo demonstrated that he isn't over the hill as he won at Chester last month, rattling home off a strong pace, and he has since held his form really well, running to a similar level at both Ayr and Newcastle. He looks sure to go close this afternoon.

We wait until the concluding race on the card for our final bet (17:00) as we back the Serena Brotherton-ridden Chosen One in the five-furlong amateur riders' handicap. Chosen One hails from a yard in good spirits at the moment and he took a step back in the right direction when finishing fourth at Thirsk last time, bettering the level of form he had previously been showing this term. He is undoubtedly well treated on last season's efforts and, with top amateur rider Serena Brotherton booked, a bold run is expected.
