Timeform advise a bet at each of Sunday's three fixtures...
The Peter Crate-trained Taajub looked on his way back when fifth in a decent sprint at Sandown on his penultimate start and, though he failed to build on the promise of that run when down the field over C&D last time, he is certainly not one to write off. The six-year-old landed this race 12 months ago off a mark just 1 lb lower than today's so for all that he is something of a risky proposition he is clearly capable of scoring and looks worth a chance.
The likes of Silver Rime, Jebel Tara and Ferdy should all go well in Carlisle's 17:30 but we're interested in Dream Walker, who will be making his first start for Brian Ellison having previously been trained by Ian McInnes. The four-year-old finished runner-up off marks much higher than this last term, positing his best effort when finding only Daddy Warbucks too strong at Beverley at this time 12 months ago, and he is certainly worthy of a market check.
Sir Geoffrey has acquitted himself well on his last couple of outings and seems likely to do so once more but we're going to take him on with Majestic Mannanan, who went off too hard at Nottingham last time and ultimately wasn't disgraced in finishing sixth. The suspicion is that he could well bounce back here and, were he to return to the sort of form he showed when winning at Yarmouth on his penultimate outing, he could take some stopping.
