Our first bet on Sunday runs in Redcar's five-furlong handicap at 15:10 as we side with Thornaby Princess. Thornaby Princess made a winning handicap debut on her seasonal return when taking a six-furlong contest at Ripon, showing good speed, certainly enough to suggest that she'll prove as effective back at the minimum distance. She has been beaten on both starts since, but has shown enough to suggest that she remains on a fair mark, and, with plenty of pace in this line-up, could be well suited by how the race develops.

Our next bet runs an hour later in the six-furlong handicap (16:10) as Duke Cosimo looks a sprinter going places for his new yard and can follow up his win at Doncaster in May. David Barron has developed a reputation at being especially adept at improving his new recruits and the well-bred Duke Cosimo (dam won the Group 1 Coronation Stakes) is exactly the type of horse he excels with. Duke Cosimo's Doncaster win was a career-best effort, and achieved in first-time blinkers, and there is every reason to expect him to carry on improving.

The lightly-raced Harboured has an extremely attractive profile now sent handicapping, up in trip, and she can take the one-mile fillies' event at 16:40. Representing the shrewd yard of Sir Mark Prescott, who is renowned for winning with horses boasting similarly-unexposed profiles, Harboured caught the eye on her third and final start in maiden company, staying on well under a hands-and-heels ride over seven furlongs at Wolverhampton, suggesting that there is more to come once her stamina is tested. She starts life in this sphere on a fair mark and could prove tough to beat.
