All three of Timeform's best bets come from Bangor-on-Dee on Sunday...
It's a competitive handicap chase over an extended three miles under consideration first (13:10) where the vote goes to Goodtoknow, who deserves to get his head in front after going close the last twice in similar contests. His latest efforts at Wetherby have both been creditable and today's step-up in trip may well bring about the improvement required to return to winning ways for the first time in 12 months. His admirable handler's string seem to be in form at the moment and a bold bid is expected at the very least, with Wayward Glance and Allerton, who both line up on the back of victories themselves, likely to give the selection most to think about.
A two-and-a-half mile novices' hurdle is the next under the microscope (14:10)and the selection is Donald McCain's Classic Move. It is well known the Cholmondeley handler targets some of his smarter sorts at this track in the early stages of their careers, and the selection would have made a winning start in this sphere had he not bumped into a couple of potentially useful sorts at Haydock last time. This looks a far weaker contest and he is expected to return to winning ways, especially given the 7 lb he receives from previous winners Going Concern and Theatrebar.
Our final bet of the day comes in the staying handicap hurdle (15:10) in which Night of Passionlooks to be the most likely winner. She looked to have a fair bit in hand when scoring at Plumpton at the start of the week and the 7 lb penalty she shoulders today for that success shouldn't stop him from gracing the winners' enclosure for a second time in seven days. She had two creditable runs before that too, and seems to be in fine form at present. Jeremy Scott's five year old may not have it all her own way with Bob Keown looking a likely improver and Landestown Star primed for a big run, but she should have enough in the locker to see off those challengers.
