Barton Gift (15:05) is progressing well and can make it three wins from his last three completed starts with a clear round. The consistent Beforeall is feared with Lamboro Lad, who looked to be coming to the boil at Exeter last time. Barton Gift has taken off since being fitted with blinkers, winning three mile handicaps the last twice that he has completed. He looks a thorough stayer and seems sure to go very close again.

Astigos (16:10) might be worth forgiving a poor effort last time (possibly found the run coming a bit quick on him) and is well treated on the form he showed when runner-up at Haydock prior to that. Recent course winner Garde Fou could easily have more to come, while Tullyesker Hill is another who is worth another chance after a disappointing run last time.

Supreme Bob (16:45) shaped a fair bit better on his third try over fences here last month and is worth chancing to make the most of a lenient mark in this sphere. Billybo is also difficult to ignore having plummeted in the weights since his below par run in December, and rates the big threat, alongside the consistent Possibly Flora.
