Moohaajim can land the Middle Park.

"Moohaajim has since won the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes in impressive fashion, having plenty in hand of his rivals and suggesting that he would make more of a race of it with Reckless Abandon here..."

Timeform suggest a trio of SmartPlays for Saturday's racing...

Our first selection on Saturday comes in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes, a contest likely to be dominated by Reckless Abandon and Moohaajim. It is easy to see why the former has established himself as market leader for this event, as he has made a most impressive start to his career in winning his four races, including a brace of Group 2's and the Group 1 Prix Morny. Moohaajim finished fifth in the last mentioned affair on what was just his second racecourse appearance, having won an Ascot maiden, and he did not enjoy the clearest of passages as he was forced wide, receiving a hefty bump in the process, before sticking on well. Moohaajim has since won the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes in impressive fashion, having plenty in hand of his rivals and suggesting that he would make more of a race of it with Reckless Abandon here. At the prices he is the one to side with, and there is the distinct likelihood of even better to come from the Marco Botti-trained juvenile.

The feature race of the day is of course the Cesarewitch and bottom weight Montaser is our SmartPlay selection. Montaser was originally only a reserve for the contest, but the withdrawal of Address Unknown, also owned by Dr Marwan Koukash, means that he has just crept into the race. Indeed, what he has shown so far this season makes him an attractive proposition: coasting home in a competitive renewal of the Brown Jack Stakes having impressed at Haydock the time before. He made a solid return from two months off at Yarmouth last time and will strip fitter for that.

Kitegen appeals as an interesting bet in the handicap hurdle at Chepstow at 16:10. The six-year-old has been improving over the summer months and was certainly eye-catching when finding plenty to land a handicap at Bangor over today's trip last time. He took a strong hold that day but went into the lead before two out and stuck on well under pressure. Trackmate finished second there and went on to win a competitive event at Uttoxeter by five lengths on his next outing. This trip seems ideal at the moment for Kitegen and he looks as though he is ahead of the handicapper. Robin Dickin has already had a couple of winners this week and his gelding looks like one to keep on the right side of.
