Esdtidhkaar - 15:45 Newmarket

The Greenham has become the principal 2000 Guineas trial in recent seasons and this year's runner-up Estidhkaar could be the answer in what looks a wide-open renewal. He was strong at the finish despite disputing a strong pace at Newbury so this extra 1f will pose no problems. Ballydoyle-pair Ol' Man River and Gleneagles also need serious consideration.

Twilight Son - 16:20 Newmarket

Twilight Son has the potential to develop into another smart sprinter for the Henry Candy yard and can stretch his unbeaten record to three on his return to action. Desert Force landed what is traditionally a strong handicap on his Newbury reappearance and will have no difficulty coping with the drop back to six furlongs, while Magical Memory should build on an encouaging comeback run over C&D last month.
