Timeform UK SmartPlays: Monday September 22

We start in the day's first race, Leciester's six-furlong nursery at 14:00. Renaissant has to be high on the list following her pillar-to-post victory at Brighton, but Magic Mac appeared to win with a fair bit left up her sleeve at Chepstow 11 days ago, a performance which strongly suggests that a 10-lb rise may not be enough to anchor her here. It's not a race to stake your first-born in, though, as the likes of Scarlet Bounty, Hound Music and Diracan are still open to improvement.

Hamilton's 15:50 is over essentially the same distance but is not for juveniles. From a handicapping perspective the two that stand out here are Ventura Mist and Love Island, with preference for the latter who won off this mark at Ripon in May. Alexandrakollontai is something of a C&D specialist and looks sure to give another good account. 

Finally to Kempton where we complete a six-furlong triptych. It's their 16:40, in which Polybius is worth another chance to get back on the up having created a good impression in his two wins at Windsor. Outer Space took well to this surface when beating Souville here last time and may have more to come, but the big danger could be Perfect Alchemy who is defending an unbeaten record at Kempton.
