Bull And Bush, who hails from the family of useful staying jumpers Stray Shot, Over The Last and Open The Gate, has shown a fair level of form in bumpers and over hurdles and is expected to improve significantly faced with a stamina test in the three-mile mares' handicap hurdle at Towcester (15:00). Bull And Bush confirmed the promise of her hurdling debut when showing improved form to win over two and a half miles at Doncaster last month, impressing with how she asserted close home, and she is likely to benefit from this step up in trip. Bull And Bush impresses physically - described as a useful-looking mare - and is in good hands, so is expected to prove significantly better than this opening mark of 121.

We head to Taunton for our final two selections, starting with the Victor Dartnell-trained Tresor de La Vie in the near-three-mile novices' handicap chase at 15:50. The Dartnell yard went through a quiet spell at the turn of the year, but his horses seem to be running much better now and it would be little surprise were Tresor de La Vie, a winning pointer, capable of showing much-improved form tackling fences for the first time and stepping back up in trip on his handicap debut. Tresor de La Vie obviously has risks attached - the only time he has hinted at possessing ability was when getting the run of things here last time - but, unlike many of his rivals, the scope for improvement is obvious and he is worth chancing.

Watt Broderick's temperament has been called into question in the past, but he has done little wrong of late and can back up Saturday's effortless success by taking the 17-furlong handicap hurdle at 16:20. Watt Broderick didn't have to come off the bridle to win a conditionals' event at Stratford and he looks absolutely thrown in this afternoon, especially as he doesn't have to carry a penalty for Saturday's win. He is clearly well treated and a reproduction of the level of form he displayed at Stratford, where he was value for at least double the five-length winning margin, would make him exceptionally tough to beat. He appeals as banker material.
